Bywaters are proud to announce that we have secured a finalist spot at the National Air Quality Awards 2018.

Continuing a Successful Year

Bywaters is no stranger to awards, having previously won multiple accolades at the NHS Sustainability Awards earlier this year and being named Green Apple Champion of Champions in 2017. Tonight, we are hoping to secure first place at the NAQA, taking place at Lords Cricket Ground in London.

The Bywaters team will compete against a number of local authorities, transport, and technology providers for the “Commercial Sector Air Quality Initiative” and “Vehicle Fleet Air Quality Initiative of the Year” awards.

National Air Quality Awards Going from Strength to Strength

The NAQA recognises the work and success of individuals whose efforts have contributed to improving air quality and reducing carbon emissions. Now in its fourth year, interest in the awards have continued to grow with over 80 entries received across nine awards covering projects within the public and private sector.

All winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, following the National Air Quality Conference – which will focus on issues surrounding air quality and the practical steps being taken to tackle pollutants across the UK.

Our Team Deserves the Recognition

We wish our team all the best of luck this evening, and hope they secure a well deserved victory.

We’ve had a large focus this year on reducing our carbon footprint, including upgrading our Euro 6 vehicle fleet and making an ambitious pledge for WWF’s Earth Hour 2018, and it’s fantastic to see these efforts being appreciated.

Whether or not we take home the top award, we’re proud to be a company that always strives to be better and to do our bit to preserve the environment for future generations.
