We Can Handle Any Job

With over 60 years of experience, Bywaters can ensure that the handling of your waste is done the right way. Skips are a core feature of our waste management services, and we are able to offer expert advice on which type of skip will be most appropriate for your business’s requirements.

Skip Hire FAQs

The best skip for your job will depend on the type of waste you generate, and how much of it there is. For example, an open skip will be best suited for bulky items like building materials, wood and garden waste, and are most commonly used for construction projects. An enclosed skip is ideal for larger amounts of waste, including materials such as glass, plastics and mixed recycling.

These are much larger containers for waste removal. A roll-on roll-off skip can hold huge amounts of waste, making them most suitable for big construction projects. Saving your business time and money by reducing the need for transportation to and from the site. If you’re only using a small skip but are gathering substantial amounts of waste, there’ll be more trips for removal. This may mean a project takes longer and costs more. What’s more, roll-on roll-off skips can reduce your carbon footprint, and minimise onsite disruption.

At Bywaters, we have two East London facilities where your waste is sorted and managed. Powered by 4,000 solar panels, our state-of-the-art Lea Riverside site sorts waste into segregated streams before it is packed and sent for recycling. Residual materials are sent to our Gateway Road facility, sorted again, and then sent to the National Grid to generate electricity. With a dedicated staff and specialist machinery, we ensure all of the waste will be sorted and recycled where possible, to avoid waste entering landfill.
