A landmark collaboration, iRecycle and Bywaters have taken over the servicing of our large bin collection sites in Central London. Bywaters, which has been operating in London for over 70 years, brings decades of experience in the recycling industry and boasts a state-of-the-art facility in East London.

The two monumental family-owned waste management companies are committed to providing London with a service built on sustainable principles and core values.

This collaboration has enabled iRecycle to focus on its strengths and first principles of scaling waste by water, building commercial curb side collections via our own fleet along with the bulky waste division, whilst continuing to employ people from disadvantaged backgrounds through our successful Ethical Employment Programme & enabling them back into independent living.

We are also delighted to announce that our collaboration will support us in providing a robust & reactive service for our clients. Together, we understand that it is crucial to prioritise our customer accounts & their unique requirements.

With the enhanced reporting capabilities, ESG support and greater servicing scope, strengthening iRecycle’ s current position within London’s waste sector, we are excited to see all the new developments & future possibilities this collaboration will provide for our clients.

This is a significant step forward in our drive towards sustainable waste management in the capital, and customers can expect streamlined, reliable service delivered by two of the industry’s most trusted names. Together, iRecycle and Bywaters are leading the charge towards a greener, cleaner London.

“I am extremely excited about this collaboration. Even though we are based less than 4 miles from Central London, I can see the sustainable benefits of avoiding the traffic and road restrictions by (wherever possible) collecting waste by water using the canal system. Over the last 15 years I have watched the development and regeneration of business districts in locations along the canals (Kings Cross, Camden, Paddington). This tells me that there are increasing opportunities to offer businesses located in these areas an alternative but reliable, competitively priced and environmentally friendly waste collection service that other companies cannot provide, offering a significant contribution to organisations ESG targets.”
