To handle collections for our newly acquired 5 year contract to provide sustainable waste management services to the UK’s Houses of Parliament, Bywaters has invested in two new environmentally friendly hook lift trucks.

Bywaters Adds Two New Sustainable Vehicles to Our Fleet

Our aim over the next 5 years is to boost the Parliamentary Estate’s recycling rates, further their sustainability efforts, and cut carbon emissions from the home of the UK government. These new additions to our vehicle fleet will be invaluable in helping us achieve these goals.

New Trucks are Safe as well as Sustainable

Both of our new 12 tonne vehicles are fitted with the latest 360 degree camera system as well as clear view passenger door and safety side guards to meet FORS Gold requirements and all other relevant legislation, along with the ‘Vulnerable Road Users’ policy.

These two new trucks are Euro 6 compliant to minimise carbon emissions, and form part of Bywaters’ £7m eco-friendly fleet of vehicles which already meets Euro 5/6 emission standards – ensuring all waste is transported to our facility in Bow in the most sustainable way possible.

A Great Addition to our Ever-Growing Fleet

Bywaters is committed to delivering the best service possible to our clients, and these two new vehicles will ensure that we can deliver the best sustainable waste management services to the Houses of Parliament, while also keeping London’s streets safe.

All our vehicles servicing the capital have an on-board Dynafleet system to monitor and track their environmental sustainability as well as the performance of our drivers. The reports generated this way ensure that our fleet always takes the best route in order to reduce congestion in London – in line with our ‘London for London’ approach.
