Committed to investing in our logistics department

Bywaters have achieved Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) earned recognition, meaning we have provided information which meets driver and vehicles standards. This allows Bywaters to continuously monitor our compliance and demonstrates to our clients and staff that we are fully committed to improving our vehicle and drivers standards. By sharing performance information with the DVSA means that our vehicles are less likely to be stopped for inspection, to be an exemplary operator and be recognition as a DVSA-approved operator on GOV.UK.

There are a few criteria that need to meet in order to apply for Earned Recognition:

  • Have held an Operator’s Licence for at least two years.
  • Not have been subject to regulatory action from the Traffic Commissioner, other than a formal warning, for the previous two years.
  • Have an electronic record keeping system supplied by one of the DVSA validated IT suppliers. This will be accessed remotely by DVSA to monitor compliance.
  • Submit a compliance audit, compiled by a DVSA accredited auditor, no more than three months before the application is considered. This must show that the operator is compliant and has effective working systems in place, or that they will become effective within three months under a specific action plan. There is a need to submit further audit reports on a two yearly basis.

We are very proud with all the team involved with gaining this new accreditation and we look forward to our continued involvement in the DVSA earned recognition scheme.
