Bywaters is proud to announce the opening of our new, purpose built, in-house confidential security shredding facility, where all confidential material will be securely destroyed and recycled in compliance with strict legal requirements.

Containers are fitted with high security locks, unique to Bywaters Confidential, another industry leading initiative. The modern container has been designed to fit into any office environment, fitted with easy to use handles and hidden wheels to ensure they blend with any office scheme.

Designed as a bagless system, to save cost and for a greater convenience, there is no need to remove staples or paperclips, just put all your confidential documents in the locked container to ensure all information is stored securely prior to being shredded.

You can trust Bywaters to meet your confidential shredding requirement. We are accredited to ISO 9001: 2008 and collect and process your documents for data destruction to BS15713 standards, based on a zero-direct-to-landfill policy and legislation.

  • Q: Do I need a Confidential Document Destruction Service?
    A: You are required to comply with The Data Protection Act 1998, to protect your business, your current and potential customers businesses against possible fraud, misuse of your information or other criminal acts.
  • Q: What is classed as Confidential Information?
    A: Any information deemed to contain any of the following: personnel files, social security and PAYE records, accounts, vat records, customer information, sales enquiries, banking information, credit card details, all commercially sensitive and personal health information.
  • Q: What proof do I have that my documents have been destroyed?
    A: Within 24 hours of collecting your confidential material the paper will be shredded and processed within our secure facility, providing you with a completed "Certificate of Destruction" to BS EN 15713:2009 standards.
  • Q: What happens to the paper after it has shredded?
    A: Once the paper has been processed it is mixed with other processed paper and baled. The baled paper is then sent directly to a paper mill to be recycled into tissue products.
  • Q: How will Bywaters Confidential charge for the service it provides?
    A: We offer bespoke solutions designed to ensure we are best placed to meet the needs of your business. Call us to discuss the best solution. We do not charge for the time we are on site, unlike many of the "on-site" shredding companies.
