4th June 2010:
Bywaters is delighted that for the 6th year running it provided a recycling and waste management service for the 2010 Virgin London Marathon.
On Sunday 25th April Bywaters litter picked, collected and recycled the waste at the finish line. The dry recyclables were then processed at Bywaters' state-of-the-art undercover Materials Recovery Facility, the largest facility of its kind in London where circa 90% of the Marathon’s waste was recycled.
The London Marathon, held every year since 1981, is now the largest annual fund raising event in the world and attracts runners and spectators from around the globe.
Bywaters has extensive experience of providing recycling and waste management services to special events and has recently supported the Camden Green Fair.
