9th November 2007:
On 31st October, Bywaters' environmental management system's certification to ISO14001: 2004 was extended to cover all operations at its recycling and recovery facility at Lea Riverside.

In July 2006, Bywaters moved from three sites within the Olympic development zone to its Lea Riverside site in Bow. In November 2006, the environmental management system for operations at the new site was certified to ISO14001: 2004.

This summer, as the final part of the Olympic relocation, the company´s plasterboard Materials Recovery Facility and compactor workshop were relocated to the Lea Riverside site. As a result, October saw the ISO14001 auditors revisit Bywaters to ensure the environmental impact of these operations had been fully incorporated into its EMS. The certification has now successfully been extended to cover all operations at the new recycling and recovery facility.
