Gateway Road site redevelopment project
UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2016: We are currently awaiting a date for the determination of the Gateway Road planning application, having submitted the plans to Waltham Forest Council earlier this year.
As part of the usual planning process, we are working with planning officers at Waltham Forest Council, the Greater London Authority and statutory consultees to finalise all aspects of the scheme before it goes before Waltham Forest Planning Committee.

Bywaters have submitted plans for a residential-led mixed-use redevelopment of the Gateway Road site in Leyton.
The proposals will transform the site and bring much-needed new homes, and a new school to the local area.
To summarise, we are proposing the following:
- Delivery of up to 730 new homes, including affordable homes, across a number of building
- Provision for a new 2 form entry primary school on site
- New commercial space for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
- Exemplary architecture and landscaping which will deliver an attractive and enjoyable new environment for residents and the wider local community.
The proposals are designed to complement Waltham Forest Council’s current place shaping exercise for the local area, which is also undergoing a round of public consultation.
In November, we held an exhibition at the SCORE Centre that was attended by local community groups and local residents.
